Documentary Assignment

For our documentary assignment we decide on the prompt, Film equals jobs.  Luckily Jacob was able to get one of his friends, who works at screen gems studios to take some time off to answer a few of our questions.  During our interviewing session we will be able to ask him an assortment of questions relating to the subject, and how film has opened up countless jobs in the Wilmington area.  Being that many of our photos taken were focused on the buildings in Wilmington, our b-roll footage should hold a similar subject.  By doing this many of our vox-pops will be able to take place in the same general area as our previous photos.  The questions we will be asking our expert should cover a variety of aspects related to job development in Wilmington, North Carolina. 

            These may include:

·      What are some of the benefits of having multiple film companies working on the opposite end of the country from Hollywood?

·      How is the film industry helping to improve Wilmington North Carolina?

·      What are some of the advantages to films being made in Wilmington as oppose to other cities?

·      How can the film industry help to create work for people who do not work in the film industry?

·      How have the massive amounts of money spent on making films helped Wilmington North Carolina?

·      How does Screen Gems as a company help to pump money into Wilmington?

·      How has the film industry changed Wilmington in the recent decades?
